ABOUT ME

Hello and WELCOME! I'm so glad you're here! If you're looking for a nutritious snack, nutrition coaching, or new recipes, you've come to the right place!

My name is Murphy Brennan and I am a first year Master in Food Science and Nutrition student at Colorado State University. I graduated in 2021 from UNC Chapel Hill (go Heels!) where I double-majored in Exercise and Sport Science and Psychology, and minored in Spanish for the Medical Professions. After my two-year M.S. program at CSU, I will complete my Dietetic Internship (aka clinical rotations) and then sit for the RD exam to hopefully become a registered dietitan!

I started Mindfully Murphy (previously Cut The C.R.A.P) when I gave up processed foods for Lent 3 years ago, but it's really turned into something totally new and different. It has become a place of transformation and reflection of my recovery process from eating disorders-- breaking the cycle that has dictated my life for the past 8 years. I want to be honest and open with everyone so we can start conversation about rocky relationships with food! As for themes you'll see in my captions and other posts, I'm a huge proponent for breaking down toxic diet culture, balance, and intuitive eating (listening to your body!).

These little bites are SO GOOD! They're loaded with macros and whole ingredients but taste like desserts! You can taste the real lemon in the lemon poppyseed balls and get notes of warm spice in the carrot cake flavor. We've been eating them out of the freezer which makes them even more dessert-y! Couldn't recommend more!! Support a local business and spread these delectable healthy treats to all of your friends!!!
